Campbell Parade Apartment
Sydney - 2025
Land of the Gadigal, Birrabirragal & Bidiagal clans
The building where this apartment is located, although new construction, sits behind the old heritage façade of the existing unit block. The old bay window framed by an archway dating back to the early 1900’s therefore remained intact and were restored thus creating a natural place for mealtimes and admiring the dazzling view across the beach. Due to the split-level plan over three levels and strict heritage requirements the main living spaces have 3.5m ceilings, almost unheard of in apartments. The volume of space adds to the charm. The character of what was left of the past formed the basis for the new design. Chevron herringbone timber floors are throughout with limestone parquetry in bathrooms, contrasted with crisp detailing to blend the two ages together.
