Land of the Gadigal, Birrabirragal & Bidiagal clans

Perched just above the iconic Bondi Beach in a newly remodeled heritage Arts & Crafts building, the apartment sits tucked behind the original façade, which lends a character-filled backdrop and guided the overall design. Conceived as a sanctuary from the energy of the bustling beachside suburb below, the apartment was designed to open seamlessly to the outdoors in summer, while transforming into a warm, inviting retreat during cooler months. An entirely neutral palette of bleached timber and limestone forms the foundation, layered with natural wools and linens. Classic design pieces - predominantly Scandinavian - introduce a timeless elegance, resulting in an ethereal space that is minimal yet inviting: a visually calm haven for rest, recharge, and retreat.
