‍‘Back of the Moon’ is the name the owners called their house many years ago having used the old original shack for over 30 years for holidays and weekends. After acquiring the adjacent site a new house was designed by MHNDU architects, a large 4 level weekender for the extended family to enjoy for the next 30 years. The whole house and almost every room is orientated towards the panoramic view over the bay. A simple palette of concrete floors, timber walls and silver travertine run throughout the house, the materials selected for their natural beauty and the connection to the colours of the national park where the house is situated.
